Terbinafine and itraconazole are the most commonly used oral antifungals to treat onychomycosis and superficial dermatomycoses. Recently, poor response to oral terbinafine has been reported. We have summarized the most appropriate dosing regimens of posaconazole, fosravuconazole, voriconazole, and oteseconazole (VT-1161) to treat onychomycosis and superficial fungal infections. A structured search on PubMed and Google Scholar was conducted.

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) comprises a group of small vessel vasculitides grouped by commonalities of clinical manifestations and ANCA testing. Skin findings are not uncommon, although there is considerable overlap and many times nonspecificity.

Studies on hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) have found an increased prevalence of HS in skin of color and lower socioeconomic status patients, although the reasons for these differences are unclear. Demographic and therapeutic studies of HS originate primarily from developed Western countries, and data from low- and medium-income countries (LMIC) remain comparatively limited.

Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. However, it is rare in pediatric population. Most of the cases of pediatric MF present with hypopigmented patches and/or various other forms, which may often mimic common childhood dermatoses, thereby causing a delay in the diagnosis. There are no established treatment guidelines for pediatric MF.

Balanitis is classically defined as inflammation of the glans penis, often also encompassing the prepuce (balanoposthitis). Several investigations have found that a sizable proportion of urology clinic visits are due to balanitis or related complaints. Balanitis can have numerous complications, including severe pain, urethral stenosis, phimosis, sexual dysfunction, and if untreated, malignancy.

Studies focusing on the relationship between periodontitis and systemic diseases have suggested a possible association between these two chronic and inflammatory disorders. We aimed to comparatively investigate the salivary oxidative status, biomarker levels, clinical findings, and the microbial load on subgingival biofilm samples in psoriasis patients and controls.

The diagnostic criteria for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) include the presence of telangiectatic lesions in common sites (nose, fingers, oral cavity, and lips). Telangiectatic lesions are described as red spots in the skin, but this description is inadequate. Few studies have investigated the characteristics of telangiectatic lesions in HHT, and we aimed to describe the distribution and morphology of telangiectatic lesions in HHT patients.

Cutaneous side effects are commonly seen in cancer chemotherapy. As new chemotherapy drugs are developed, the frequency and the diversity of these cutaneous side effects increase. For this reason, identification and management of these side effects are an important part of the treatment of cancer patients. This study aimed to investigate mucocutaneous side effects of conventional chemotherapy and targeted therapy agents that are used in cancer patients.

Capillary malformation-arteriovenous malformation (CM-AVM) is a rare disease characterized by multiple capillary malformations, a higher risk of fast-flow vascular malformations, and telangiectasias.1 Here we present a unique case of CM-AVM, which is characterized by multiple bluish nodules throughout the body and rare intraorbital lesions.

Although long-term management of psoriasis is paramount, this approach is challenging in clinical practice. In the recent PSO-LONG trial, a fixed-dose combination of betamethasone dipropionate (BD) and calcipotriol (Cal) foam applied twice a week on non-consecutive days for 52 weeks (proactive treatment) reduced the risk of relapse. However, the role of Cal/BD foam in the long-term management of psoriasis needs further clarifications.
