We investigated the effect of Erbu Zhuyu decoction (EBZY) on angiogenesis via uterine natural killer (uNK) cells and the PI3K/Akt/eNOS pathway in embryo implantation dysfunction (EID) mice.

Ovarian cancer continues to present significant challenges for early detection and treatment, indicating a need for novel approaches to improve disease outcomes. In this report, we applied a previously described algorithm for detecting chemical complementarity between candidate cancer antigens and complementarity determining region-3 (CDR3) amino acid sequences from tumor resident T-cell receptors.

To determine whether altered levels of 13 plasma biomarkers, alone or in combination, could be independently associated with histologic chorioamnionitis (HCA) and microbial-associated HCA (defined as the presence of HCA along with microbial invasion) in women with preterm labor (PTL).

Tumors compromise the patients’ immune system to promote their own survival. We have previously reported that HGSC exosomes play a central role, downregulating NKG2D cytotoxicity.

Amniochorion senescence generates mechanistic signals to initiate parturition. Activation of p38 mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) in fetal amnion cells is a key mediator of senescence as well as epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of amnion cells. However, the impact of p38 MAPK in chorion trophoblast cells (CTCs) is unclear.

Long-lived mycobacterial L-forms (mL-forms) could be detected in the blood of BCG-vaccinated people. We have previously found mL-forms in term placentas and blood of neonates, delivered by healthy BCG-vaccinated mothers as first formal demonstration that BCG vaccination in the childhood of the woman could affect her placentobiome during pregnancy.

Estrogen-dependent extrauterine implantation and growth of menstrual endometrial tissue affects roughly 10% of reproductive age women and depends on suppression of local innate immune defenses to prevent ectopic tissue rejection.

Fetal or gestational membranes extend from the placenta to enclose the fetus and amniotic fluid. While the membranes spontaneously rupture at term in normal pregnancies, they can rupture prematurely before the onset of labor, termed preterm prelabor rupture of membranes (PPROM).

The overabundant populations of wildlife have caused many negative impacts, such as human-wildlife conflicts and ecological degradation. The existing approaches like injectable immunocontraceptive vaccines and lethal methods have limitations in many aspects, which has prompted the advancement of oral immunocontraceptive vaccine.
