Skin and eyes share a common embryological origin from the embryonic surface ectoderm. Ocular manifestations are one of the most important and common associations of dermatological diseases. Currently, there are few comprehensive reviews of the ocular manifestations of dermatological diseases.

Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp is a rare condition which primarily affects older women after local trauma and has historically been treated with topical steroids. As it is a rare entity and resembles other dermatologic conditions, it may easily be misdiagnosed.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID?19) is a systemic multi?organ viral illness. Previous studies have found that many patients had a procoagulant state and/or severe hypoxemia with relatively well?preserved lung mechanics. Mechanisms underlying the damage to vascular tissues are not well?elucidated yet. Histological data in COVID?19 patients are still limited and are mainly focused on post?mortem analysis. Given that the skin is affected by COVID?19 and the relative ease of its histological examination, we aimed to examine the histology of skin lesions in COVID?19 patients to better understand the disease’s pathology.

In approximately 13% of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients, a hallmark of primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) can be detected: antimitochondrial M2 antibodies (AMA?M2). It has not been determined if the presence of AMA?M2 in SLE patients results in a higher risk of PBC in comparison to those with AMA but no SLE. Until now, there have been no such analyses among individuals with subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE).
