Dermoscopic evaluation of skin lesions with the Triage Amalgamated Dermoscopy Algorithm

Dermoscopic evaluation of skin lesions with the Triage Amalgamated Dermoscopy Algorithm
Using the Triage Amalgamated Dermoscopic Algorithm (TADA), symmetric skin lesions that present with blue-black or gray color are considered suspicious. Two melanomas presenting as symmetric lesions with black color (A) and blue-gray color (B) were classified as suspicious and a biopsy was performed. If skin lesions are amelanotic or hypopigmented, the presence of white structures or negative network are considered suspicious for malignancy, as seen in this basal cell carcinoma with white structures (C). Lesions without any of the previous structures but with ulceration or vascular structures are also considered suspicious, as seen in this squamous cell carcinoma (D).
