Notes
  • SIRS is present when two or more of the following are found: 1) Temperature <36°C [96.8°F] or >38°C [100.4°F]; 2) respirations >20/min or PaCO2 <32 mmHg; 3) heart rate >90/min; 4) WBC <4000/mm3 or WBC >12,000/mm3 or more than 10% bands found on blood smear.
