Impaired spatial navigation is considered an early sign in many neurodegenerative diseases. We aimed to determine whether spatial navigation was associated with future dementia in patients with subjective cognitive decline (SCD) or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and to explore associations between spatial navigation and biomarkers of Alzheimer disease (AD) and neurodegeneration.

To assess the incidence of amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA) in clinical trials of anti-[beta]-amyloid (A[beta]) immunotherapy and compare the incidence among different agents and clinical characteristics to identify possible predisposing factors for ARIA. ATN ([beta]-amyloid [A[beta]], tau, neurodegeneration) system categorizes individuals based on their core Alzheimer disease (AD) biomarkers. An important potential future use for ATN is therapeutic decision-making in clinical practice once disease-modifying treatments (e.g., anti-amyloid), become widely available. In this cross-sectional study, we applied ATN and estimated potential eligibility for anti-amyloid treatment in a real-life memory clinic with biomarker assessments integrated into the routine diagnostic procedure and all specialized resources available for the implementation of novel treatments.

Exposure to socioeconomic disadvantage is associated with early-onset cognitive aging. Biological aging, the progressive loss of system integrity that occurs as we age, is proposed as a modifiable process mediating this health inequality. We examined whether socioeconomic disparities in cognitive aging in mid-to late-life adults is explained by accelerated biological aging similarly across race, ethnicity, and sex/gender.

Despite low levels of disability, youth with pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis (POMS) engage in less physical activity compared with peers. The contribution of walking capacity, endurance, behavior, and MS comorbidities remains relatively undefined and may provide valuable insights into the limitations toward physical activity in youth with MS.

Infratentorial superficial siderosis (iSS) is a rare but disabling neurologic condition characterized by progressive hearing loss and balance and mobility problems. The functional decline in these neurologic domains with iSS progression is likely to adversely affect health-related quality of life (HRQoL). We studied the HRQoL of adults with iSS using 2 common generic HRQoL measures (Health Utilities Index Mark III [HUI3] and EuroQoL EQ5D [5 Level]) to determine the most affected domains and evaluate the association between HRQoL scores and disease duration.
