Punch incision technique for removal of epidermoid cysts

(A) A 4 mm punch is used to incise the cyst.
(B) The content of the cyst is expressed with strong lateral pressure exerted with the thumbs. This usually releases the cyst wall from the surrounding tissue.
(C) The cyst wall is then extracted through the punch opening.
