Scapula malposition with SICK syndrome

Scapula malposition with SICK syndrome
Three categories of static scapular malposition may be seen with the SICK scapula syndrome. All three malpositions—inferior medial border prominence, lateral protraction, and abduction—are illustrated in panel A, which shows a high school quarterback's right shoulder. One or any combination of the three malpositions may occur, as seen in the right shoulder of a college baseball pitcher (panel B) with an isolated abduction component of the SICK scapula syndrome.
