Treatment of uncomplicated malaria due to susceptible strains of Plasmodium falciparum
Infants >2 months, Children, Adolescents, and Adults: Oral: Artesunate 4 mg/kg (range: 2 to 10 mg/kg) and amodiaquine 10 mg/kg (range: 7.5 to 15 mg/kg) once daily for 3 days.
Specific reported dosages for combination tablets or packs:
Artesunate/amodiaquine 25 mg/67.5 mg, 50 mg/135 mg, and 100 mg/270 mg tablets:
4.5 to <9 kg: Artesunate 25 mg and Amodiaquine 67.5 mg once daily for 3 days
9 to <18 kg: Artesunate 50 mg and Amodiaquine 135 mg once daily for 3 days
18 to <36 kg: Artesunate 100 mg and Amodiaquine 270 mg once daily for 3 days
≥36 kg: Artesunate 200 mg and Amodiaquine 540 mg once daily for 3 days
Artesunate 50 mg and Amodiaquine 150 mg tablets:
1 to 6 years: Artesunate 50 mg and Amodiaquine 150 mg once daily for 3 days
7 to 13 years: Artesunate 100 mg and Amodiaquine 300 mg once daily for 3 days
>13 years and Adolescents: Artesunate 200 mg and Amodiaquine 600 mg once daily for 3 days
