Epicondyle injection

Epicondyle injection
With the elbow flexed and pronated, the needle is inserted at the most tender area on the anterolateral aspect of the external condyle of the humerus. A combination of glucocorticoid and local anesthetic is injected in several areas. Glucocorticoid injections for lateral elbow tendinopathy (LET) are typically only done once. While injections of the ulnohumeral joint and those done for elbow tendinopathy are both colloquially referred to as "elbow injections," these procedures target different areas. For more information, refer to UpToDate content on elbow tendinopathy.
