Proximal interphalangeal joint dislocation in a child

Proximal interphalangeal joint dislocation in a child
(A) This child sustained a proximal interphalangeal joint dislocation of the little finger (fifth digit). Note that the portion of the finger distal to the dislocation is dorsally displaced and pulled back towards the hand.
(B) Post reduction radiograph shows return of normal alignment and no fracture. The child was also able to flex the finger which excluded a volar plate dislocation.
