Decline in body mass index after bariatric surgery in adolescents

Changes in body mass index (BMI) among 228 adolescents undergoing sleeve gastrectomy (SG = 67) or roux-en-y gastric bypass (RYGB = 161). Mean preoperative BMI for each procedure is compared with mean BMI three years postoperatively (SG = 48; RYGB = 125).
