Hypopnea

Hypopnea
The absence of airflow in the nasal pressure channel is insufficient to call this event an apnea; the thermistor, which is a more sensitive method for detecting low levels of flow, continues to record flow, albeit with a reduced amplitude. This, in combination with the desaturation that occurs subsequent to the event, identifies this as a hypopnea.
