Categories of breast density on mammography

(A) Almost entirely fatty.
(B) Scattered areas of fibroglandular tissue.
(C) Heterogeneously dense.
(D) Extremely dense.
These categories correspond to the four-point scale as defined by the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System, 5th edition (BI-RADS).
