Intubation via King LT using disposable fiberoptic endoscope

When using a single-use fiberoptic endoscope (FE), as shown in the photographs above, the FE can be advanced down the King LT into the trachea (A) and the proximal end of the FE cut with trauma shears (B), leaving the flexible tail of the FE as a “track” from the oropharynx to the trachea (C). Then the King LT can be deflated and removed over the aScope tail (D), and an ETT railroaded over the aScope tail into the trachea (F).
