Wrist oblique plain radiographs and positioning
(A) External oblique with wrist pronated 45 degrees. Scaphoid and scaphotrapezial joint are seen well.
(B) Internal oblique (supinated 45 degrees) shows hamate and pisotriquetral joint.
(C) Hand supinated 30 degrees from neutral rotation.
(D) Beam is positioned perpendicularly and centered on pisiform.
(E) Radiograph of undisplaced pisiform fracture. Joint space is widened (arrow) owing to hemorrhage and swelling.
