Reduction of posterior shoulder (glenohumeral) dislocation

The basic technique for reduction of a posterior shoulder dislocation is shown above. Note the downward traction (black arrow), and internal rotation and adduction (white arrow) necessary to perform the technique. A sheet may be placed under the right axilla extending over the opposite shoulder for counter-traction (not pictured).
