Cuboid avulsion fracture AP radiograph

The AP plain radiograph above shows a small avulsion fracture of the cuboid (arrow). Inversion-type ankle sprains involving external rotation of the tibia can cause such a fracture. A spiral fracture involving the distal fifth metatarsal is also seen (arrowhead).
