Acinetobacter baumannii skin and soft tissue infection

Most Acinetobacter skin infections start with a break in the skin. Cellulitis can start as a well demarcated, erythematous and edematous patch with erythema that can progress to a sandpaper-like texture and ultimately hemorrhagic bullae.
