Accessory navicular plain radiograph

Above are oblique (panel A) and lateral (panel B) foot radiographs showing an accessory tarsal navicular bone. Notice the smooth, rounded borders of the accessory, and the regular cortical surface between the accessory and the navicular body. These features are typical of accessory bones, and distinguish accessory bones from avulsion fractures.
