- Persistent orthostatic blood pressure drop or persistent symptoms of exercise-associated collapse (EAC) despite 20 to 30 minutes of supine rest with leg elevation and oral fluids

- Persistent temperature >104°F (40°C) or <95°F (35°C) despite appropriate, standard interventions to cool or warm the patient
|
- Hypoglycemia <60 mg/dL (3.3 mmol/L)
|
- Severe, unabating muscle cramps in legs or throughout body
|
- Persistent nausea and vomiting, and unable to tolerate oral fluids
|
- Significant diarrhea with ongoing fluid losses
|
- Confused or clouded sensorium
|
- "Not doing well" per judgment of experienced medical staff
