Computed tomography of typical cysts in lymphangioleiomyomatosis
(A) Axial cut of a high resolution computed tomographic (HRCT) scan in a patient with mild cystic disease due to lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Notice the characteristic cyst features of LAM: round, uniform, thin-walled cysts without internal structures present in a diffuse distribution with a normal appearing intervening lung parenchyma. (B) This HRCT shows similar features but the patient has severe LAM.
