Ocular albinism

Composite fundus photograph of the right eye of a woman who is an obligate carrier for ocular albinism, which is an X-linked disorder. The fundus has areas of normal melanin expression in the retinal pigment epithelium adjacent to areas with absent melanin production (X-inactivation). Vision is normal unless overexpression of the mutant X chromosome occurs.
