Gallbladder Cancer Predictive Risk score to predict locoregional residual and distant disease based on pathology findings in patients with an incidentally found gallbladder cancer
The values for each pathologic factor are added to obtain a total risk score, ranging from 3 to 10. Patients are categorized into either the low, intermediate, or high GBRS group based on their total risk score. Each progressive GBRS group is associated with an increased prevalence of locoregional residual disease (p = 0.01) and distant disease (p = 0.006) at the time of reoperation.
