Chest computed tomography angiography in a patient with hemoptysis
A 15-year-old boy presented with hemoptysis. A computed tomography pulmonary angiogram was performed to evaluate for the possibility of pulmonary embolism. This revealed ground-glass opacities scattered diffusely throughout the lung fields but more prominent anteriorly. These findings suggest diffuse alveolar hemorrhage but do not point to a specific cause.
