Blast injury to forearm

The images show the repair of a forearm crush injury caused by a shotgun blast (A), which was treated with staged operations. The primary operation included debridement of the contaminated wound and the use of an external fixator (B). In the second operation, definitive bone fixation with tendon reconstruction using multiple tendon transfers was performed (C, D). Since there was a defect at the site of the tendon reconstruction, a skin graft was used to provide wound coverage (E).
