Toe proximal phalanx fracture plain radiograph and ultrasound

The images above show a small fracture of the proximal phalanx of the fourth toe (arrows). The break in the cortex is difficult to appreciate on the anteroposterior plain radiograph (A) but is readily appreciated using ultrasound (B).
