Navicular of foot blood supply

Navicular of foot blood supply
The navicular receives its blood supply from branches of the dorsalis pedis and tibialis posterior arteries. The convergence of these two networks creates a zone of poor blood supply (so-called "watershed" area) that predisposes the area to stress fractures and healing disturbances, possibly including non-union.
