Epiglottis views on rigid bronchoscopy

Rigid bronchoscopic view of a patient with an indwelling endotracheal tube (A). The bevel of rigid scope is above the epiglottis. The figure on the right (B) shows that the patient is extubated, and the bevel of the rigid scope has lifted the epiglottis anteriorly, allowing visualization of a narrowed glottic aperture.
