(A) Chest radiograph shows separation of the parietal and visceral pleura due to a large right apical pneumothorax with right basal gas-liquid level due to a hydropneumothorax. (B) A chest radiograph performed after evacuation of the right pneumothorax with a pleural drainage catheter shows unilateral consolidation of the right lung, primarily involving the right upper lobe consistent with re-expansion pulmonary edema.
