This is a long axis view of the posterior tibialis (PT) tendon shows jagged fibers with loss of continuity (thick arrow) suggesting a tendon tear, and fluid associated with the tear tracking along the tendon sheath (arrow). The ultrasound findings of a PT tendon tear were confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging.
