Nonspecific interstitial pneumonia

Nonspecific interstitial pneumonia
Axial computed tomography (CT) scan (A) and coronal reformation (B) in a patient with scleroderma show bilateral ground-glass opacities involving the lower lobes, the lateral segment of the right middle lobe and the inferior segment of the lingula in a "crazy paving" pattern with interspersed interlobular and intralobular reticular opacities as well as subpleural sparing seen in the region of the posterobasal segment of the left lower lobe. Traction bronchiectasis is also visible due to the fibrosis that permeates the affected lung. These findings are consistent with nonspecific interstitial pneumonia, cellular form.
