Endosponge 2

There is no commercially available endosponge in the United States; the endosponge needs to be created by the surgeon/endoscopist. There are several ways to create it, but most reports use a polyurethane GranuFoam. The GranuFoam is cut to about 6 cm in length and no larger than 3 cm in width to fit through the esophagus or anus. The endosponge may be further tailored based on the size of the cavity or leak site.
