Excision of infantile hemangioma

The images show management of an involuted infantile hemangioma in a three-year-old female. The lesion was excised using a circular excision and closed with a purse-string suture to limit the length of the scar. The appearance of the resultant scar was acceptable by the patient, and a second-stage procedure to revise the scar was not pursued.
