The table shows the effect of worsening Wound, Ischemia, and foot Infection (WIfI) clinical stage and the prognosis of chronic limb-threatening ischemia. The clinical stages 1, 2, 3, and 4 correspond to the VL, L, M, and H amputation risk categories. As an example, a foot with WIfI grades 002 is clinical stage 1 and has a low risk for amputation at one year, whereas a foot with WIfI grades 223 is clinical stage 4 and is high risk.
VL: very low risk; L: low risk; M: moderate risk; H: high risk.
