Interstitial emphysema, pneumomediastinum, and bilateral pneumothoraces in a ventilated patient

Computed tomography of the chest in a patient with pulmonary edema on positive pressure ventilation demonstrates linear lucencies (arrows) tracking along pulmonary vessels, a characteristic finding of interstitial emphysema. Note also the presence of pneumomediastinum and bilateral pneumothoraces.
