Surgical management of type A aortic dissection

(A) Type A/DeBakey type 1 dissection with intimal tear in ascending aorta. (B) Repair with ascending hemiarch and root repair with felt neo-media (inset) and aortic valve resuspension. A residual dissection remains in the aortic arch and descending thoracic aorta.
