Brain MRI showing crossed cerebellar diaschisis attributed to seizure

Brain MRI showing crossed cerebellar diaschisis attributed to seizure
A 54-year-old man presents in status epilepticus. Brain MRI demonstrates crossed cerebellar diaschisis attributed to seizure. Trace diffusion-weighted MRI (A-F) demonstrates abnormal cortical hypersignal (arrows) in right parietal (A) and cingulate cortices (B and C), right thalamic pulvinar nucleus (D), right hippocampus (E), and left cerebellar hemisphere (F), consistent with crossed cerebellar diaschisis.
MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
