Restrictive pattern on spirometry in a child with cystic bronchiectasis

Spirometry in a child with cystic (severe) bronchiectasis due to recurrent small-volume aspiration. This shows a restrictive pattern (reduced FVC and FEV₁).

FEV₁: forced expiratory volume in 1 second; FVC: forced vital capacity; FEV1% FVC: FEV1 as a percent of FVC; MFEF 75 to 25%: maximal forced expiratory flow between 75 and 25% of FVC.
