Hemodialysis catheter placed in azygous vein

The fluoroscopic images show a chronic hemodialysis access catheter inadvertently placed into the azygous vein. The AP view (A) shows the catheter deviating toward the midline (arrow), and the lateral view (B) shows the catheter coursing posteriorly (arrowhead).
