Identification of diastolic dysfunction in patients with LVEF ≥50%

Identification of diastolic dysfunction in patients with LVEF ≥50%
LVEF: left ventricular ejection fraction; LVH: left ventricular hypertrophy; MV: mitral valve; LV: left ventricle; E/e': ratio of early mitral inflow velocity (E) to mitral annular early diastolic velocity (e'); TR: tricuspid regurgitation; PH: pulmonary hypertension; LA: left atrium.
* This is most reliably confirmed by LV mass indexed to body size that exceeds the sex-specific normal range. This criterion should not be applied to athletes.
¶ This criterion should not be applied to athletes or patients with any degree of mitral stenosis, more than mild mitral regurgitation, or atrial fibrillation.
