Diagnosis of Raynaud phenomenon

¶ Raynaud phenomenon is typically triggered by cold temperature or change in climate, but may occur with emotional stimuli. Patients may report pins and needles sensation (paresthesias) and numbness with cold exposure.
Δ Patients with single-digit asymmetric attacks, reduced peripheral pulses, or asymmetric extremity pressures should undergo vascular imaging. Refer to UpToDate content on the diagnosis of upper or lower extremity ischemia.
