Positioning of magnetic sphincter over the esophagogastric junction

The appropriately sized magnetic sphincter implant is introduced into the abdomen and passed through the space between the posterior vagus nerve and esophagus in an incision created in the visceral peritoneum over the anterior surface of the esophagogastric junction.
