Magnetic resonance imaging of sarcoidosis

Magnetic resonance imaging of sarcoidosis
Axial, balanced steady-state free precession sequence chest magnetic resonance images in a patient with sarcoidosis.
(A) This image shows enlarged, prevascular and aortico-pulmonic window lymph nodes (dashed arrow) and large tracheobronchial, precarinal lymph nodes (arrowhead).
(B) This image shows bilateral enlarged hilar lymph nodes (arrows) at a lower section in the same patient.
(C) This image is a sagittal, balanced steady-state free precession sequence that shows large right hilar lymph nodes (arrows) surrounding the right pulmonary artery.
(D) This image is an oblique-sagittal view that shows a large aortico-pulmonic window lymph node (dashed arrow), inferior to the lesser curvature of the aortic arch.
(E) This image shows an enlarged right hilar lymph node (arrow) and high-signal sarcoid granuloma in the liver (thick arrow).
