Ligneous conjunctivitis in plasminogen deficiency

Ligneous conjunctivitis in plasminogen deficiency
Plasminogen deficiency is an autosomal recessive multisystem disorder characterized by formation of fibrinous pseudomembranes on mucous membranes throughout the body. Ligneous conjunctivitis is the most common manifestation. The pseudomembranes typically are preceded by erythema of the conjunctiva and chronic tearing, followed by the development of white, yellow-white, or red masses that form on the conjunctiva and have the characteristic wood-like texture.
