This photograph shows a 24-year-old man with acute onset pain, swelling, erythema, and tenderness around the palmar ulnar aspect of his wrist in relation to the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon. However, he had no other signs of infection like fever, lymphadenopathy, or abnormal laboratory values. The x-ray demonstrates characteristic homogenous calcific densities in the area of tenderness (arrow).
