* Typical varicocele pain consists of dull aching left testicular pain when standing that disappears when recumbent. ¶ In patients with bilateral varicoceles, both testicles will be smaller than normal; in adolescents, this may manifest as lack of growth over time. Δ Repeat semen analysis every 1 to 2 years if continued fertility desired.
