Candidate cancer genes in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma

Candidate cancer genes in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma
Mutated genes implicated as drivers of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma were identified through a meta-analysis of 8 studies and are summarized above. The frequency of identification in the included studies (y-axis) and estimated percentages of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma tumors involved (x-axis) are shown. Some genes were nominated in the meta-analysis (value of 0 on the y-axis). Those of borderline significance are designated in red and are included with an asterisk. The highest significance and most frequently mutated genes are HRAS, CDKN2A, NOTCH1/2, and TP53.
* Noted but not nominated.
