Incentive spirometer

To use an incentive spirometer:

• Breathe in slowly and deeply through the mouthpiece. The ball will rise up depending on how fast you breathe in. Try to keep the ball between the 2 markers.
• Breathe in as long as you can. This will make the piston in the large chamber rise.
• When you cannot breathe in any more, hold your breath for 2 to 5 seconds. Then, remove the mouthpiece from your mouth and breathe out slowly.
