Surgical excision of an ear lobe keloid

A 30-year-old female patient developed auricular keloids. Flaps were designed on the anterior and posterior sides of the keloid, and the core was removed. The flaps were sutured using 6-0 polypropylene sutures. The surgical site was then irradiated with 15 Gy/2 fractions/2 days. Over the next 2 years, the scar matured completely.
